Latest Update About ; Maurice Claret, Maurice Clarett Returns To Ohio State, Maurice Clarett will likely forever be a conundrum for Ohio State football fans.  Historians, struggling to summarize his legacy, could very well write a volume or two on the matter for a football-hungry audience in the Buckeye state.  A promising young freshman on the 2002 national championship team (sine qua non, I would argue) was the same person whose off the field behavior in the following offseason resulted in his ineligibility and a very meager offense that had Buckeye fans wondering if we could have repeated with him in uniform.  His meteoric rise as a freshman, putting himself in the same category as two-time Heisman winner and state hero Archie Griffin, was clearly tarnished by his catastrophic fall from grace, exit from the university and eventual incarceration.  He became He Who Shall Not Be Named, a label that further accentuates the conundrum.  He “shall” be named by virtue of becoming He Who Shall Not Be Named.  He will just not be heralded in his given name.His legacy is a topic for football fans who have, by nature, a romanticized relationship with the game.  Beyond that legacy lies a man rebuilding his life after being released from a correction facility.  The rebuilding efforts have led back to Ohio State, to old Columbus town, where Clarett has re-enrolled at the university he helped lead to its first national title in over 30 years
