Salamat Hari Raya is a joyous occasion that follows a month of fasting known as Bulan Puasa (Fasting Month) or Ramadhan. Hari Raya Puasa/Eid ul-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramadan in the Islamic calendar.
The Muslims are fasting of their Holy month Ramadhan and they will be blessed a happiness in the shape of Eid-ul-Fitr. And now a large number of people are whispering with one another to guess the date of Hari Raya Puasa/Eid ul-Fitr falls.

The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal. This time, the Hari Raya Puasa 2011 occasion is expected to fall on Tuesday, 30 August 2011 meanwhile, in Asian countries, Eid ul-Fitr is expected on July 1st.
Shawwal is the tenth month in holy Islamic Calendar. Families begin this Eid morning with a special Prayer also known as Eid Prayer. Muslims celebrate by gathering with friends and family, preparing sweet delicacies, wearing new clothes, giving each other gifts and putting up lights and other decorations in their homes.
In Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, the night before Eid is called Chaand Raat, which means, “Night of the Moon.” Although Eid ul-Fitr falls on the same day of the Islamic calendar, the date on the Gregorian calendar moves approximately 11 days a year.
