Telemundo, a leading producer of high-quality content for Hispanics in the U.S. and audiences around the world, today announced its NTI results for the February 28 premiere of the network’s most ambitious  Telemundo’s latest telenovela, La Reina del Sur (Queen of the South), launched Monday with record numbers for the network.

It’s the story of Teresa Mendoza, a Mexican woman who dominated the world of drug trafficking and narcos in Spain and Europe. She’s not exactly what you call a “role model,” but she’s definitely more entertaining and interesting than the average Cinderellas you see every night on Univision. In the women 18-49 demo, La Reina drew 779,000 and 755,000 in men 18-49.
