84th Annual Academy Awards: Jennifer Lawrence to Present Nominations
The 84th Annual Academy Awards will be handed out at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on February 26, 2012.
The former Transformers co-stars Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel are searching to the Billy Crystal in the new trailer of the 84th Academy Awards. Billy Crystal, the eight time host of Oscar, is back again to host Oscars.
Christina Kounelias, the chief marketing officer of Oscars academy said in a statement, “We wanted to try something a little bit different this year instead of a traditional, clip-based piece”.
Crystal, who is best known for his intricate and amusing opening of the Oscar show, picked up the Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event in 2005 for his one-man show “700 Sundays,” which he envisaged and wrote about his parents and childhood rising up on Long Island.
A couple of day ago, Brett Ratner had stepped down as producer for the impending 84th Academy Awards show because of recently-made disgusting comments, including a gay smear during a Q & A press session where he was doing promotion of his new movie, ‘Tower Heist’.
The director offered an apology for his remarks after the video of his appearance came on the scene. The ‘Tower Heist’ star Eddie Murphy, who was to host the event this year, also quit Oscars following the resignation of Ratner.
