Yes in China it is possible as a woman named Feng Jianmei has been illegally detained to have abortion in the seventh month of her pregnancy in rural Shaaxi Province. Local family planning officials are even thinking punished and fined the responsible of that pregnancy.
22 year old Feng Jianmei was in the seventh month of her pregnancy when the Local family planning officials forced her for having an abortion.Her husband named Deng Jiyuan who is 29year old farmer got angry he did call to the CNN and said that “I’m angry and want justice. They forced her to abort our seven-month-old child — do they deserve to be called Communist Party officials who served the people?”
Deng Jiyuan said that even on the last minute he tried his levels best to secure a birth permit but he could not do so. He said officials demanded him to pay 40,000 Yuan that becomes about $6,300, but he could not afford it. Further he said that his wife remained traumatized in hospital. They both got married in 2006 and his wife gave birth to a daughter in 2007.
In the statement replied to that officials of Local family planning has told the media that Under China’s strict family planning law Feng and his wife are not eligible to have a second baby as the law limits some of the married couple only one child so Feng and Deng are among them.
